Brad Pitt may be the ex-lover the world wants, but Justin Theroux is the ex-lover Jennifer Aniston deserves.

Following Jen and Brad's reunion photo (open in new tab) (pause to reprocess that hand grab), Theroux is also showing some love to his ex-wife by celebrating her birthday on Instagram.

On Tuesday, the actor shared a silly black-and-white photo of Aniston flexing on his Stories. "..... .grab 2020 and start another year ...... It's like ......" . Theroux captioned the image.

"Happy Birthday B," accompanied by a heart emoji that reads, "Happy Birthday B.

This is not the first time Theroux has taken to social media to celebrate his ex-girlfriend's birthday. Last year, he wrote an equally sweet message (opens in new tab) to the morning show star on Instagram. 'Happy Birthday to this fierce lady,' he wrote, adding. 'Love you fiercely. Fiercely kind. And intensely funny. ❤️, B."

The couple divorced in February 2018 after two and a half years of marriage (and seven years of dating). However, it was clearly an amicable divorce, as both Leftovers stars continued to socialize, including attending last year's Thanksgiving celebration in Anniston (opens in new tab), and constantly praising each other to the media (opens in new tab).

"My marriage, in (my) personal opinion, has been very successful," Aniston told Elle (opens in new tab) in 2018.

"And when they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness no longer exists in that arrangement."

The former Friends star has managed to maintain the friendliest roster of exes. She was recently spotted leaving the same restaurant as John Mayer (opens in new tab) (it has not been confirmed if they had dinner together), and of course, she and Pitt took every opportunity during awards season to thrill fans with sweet moments (opens in new tab )
