Why Kate Middleton and Prince William are suspending their royal duties

Kate Middleton and Prince William are taking a hiatus from their royal duties after a very hectic few months (perhaps due in part to their brother Prince Harry's shocking announcement of his resignation). The reason, according to Us Weekly, is a very familiar one: they want to spend time with their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

The two older children attend Thomas' Battersea school, which will be on half-term leave from February 17 to February 21. During this time, the Cambridges often take vacations, heading to another mansion or abroad. However, with Harry and Meghan Markle no longer senior members of the royal family, there has been an increased focus on the couple given all that is happening in the family.

"Since Harry and Meghan left the UK, the Cambridges have been busier than ever. You would think their busy schedules would take a toll on their marriage, but it's actually bringing them closer together," a source told Us Weekly (opens in new tab)." Working as a team and supporting each other is essential at times like this, and that is exactly what they are doing."

If you recall, Kate has just completed two jobs this week alone. Alone in Newtownards to promote her UK-wide survey (in her much-loved outfit (opens in new tab)) and with William at a rehab center in Leicestershire (in a McQueen military-style skirt suit (opens in new tab)). So they were busy.

I will miss them both, but I completely understand.
