Dakota Johnson Co-Directs Coldplay's "Cry Cry Cry" Music Video

The 30-year-old actress co-directed a new music video for the Coldplay (opens in new tab) song "Cry Cry Cry" with director Corey Bailey, best known for the 2017 music documentary "Living on Soul" (opens in new tab) She is a member of Coldplay. [She is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
The video, released Friday, was shot at London's Rivoli Ballroom (opens in new tab) and has a dreamy feel that matches the song's mellow sound. The music video centers on love and focuses on a couple as they go through the years together. This theme is reflected in the lyrics, which sing about being with someone through the good times as well as the bad (sample lyrics: "When you cry, when you cry, when you cry, baby / I'll be by your side.")
Johnson and Martin first became romantically involved (opens in new tab) in early 2018 and have been careful to keep their relationship private; in a September 2018 interview with Tatler (opens in new tab), Johnson said of their relationship, "We talk I'm not going to," he said, then added, "But I'm very happy."
