Adele gives a rare performance at her best friend's wedding this weekend
Adele (opens in new tab) is the best by day, but this weekend the singer outdid herself in celebrating the wedding of best friend Laura Dockdrill and The Maccabees musician Hugo White.
The Grammy winner (opens in new tab) hadn't performed a full concert in nearly three years, but took the stage at Dockdrill's wedding to sing a few songs.
In an Instagram video from the big night, which took place at London's Mason's Arms pub, Adele sang her hit song (opens in new tab), "Rolling in the Deep," and the Spice Girls' "Spice Up Your Life." She also sang a hit song. As if that wasn't enough, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine (opens in new tab) joined in at one point.
Adele wore a white short-sleeved top and floral skirt for the special occasion.
According to ET Online (opens in new tab), Adele and Dockrill were lifelong friends and grew up together, and the singer's song "My Same" is about Dockrill.
During the incredible evening, Adele also revealed some big news of her own: her new album will apparently be released in "September."
