Blue Ivy won the Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration Award (open in new tab) for her collaboration with her mother, Beyonce (open in new tab). The song "Brown Skin Girl" also features Wizkid and SAINT JHN and is featured in The Lion King: The Gift album (open in new tab). Blue Ivy not only sings the chorus of the song, but is also credited as the song's composer.

Blue and Bey (opens in new tab) accepted the award on Friday in an untelevised ceremony, while Knowles family super matriarch Tina Knowles Lawson (opens in new tab) made her granddaughter's impressive achievement known to the world on Saturday, She posted on Instagram.
"Congratulations to Blue Ivy on winning last night's NAACP award for [singing] and writing on 'Brown Skin Girl' from the album The Gift," she wrote, along with a photo of Blue from the music video for "Spirit." The youngest artist to win a major award? ?Grandma is soo proud of you❤️❤️❤️ 8 years old!!!? ❤️ You are giving all the beautiful little brown girls a voice," she wrote.
Clearly, Blue is carrying on a family tradition of legendary talent.
