Kate Middleton borrows Queen's diamond earrings for theater date with Prince William
Sure, rifling through your mother's jewelry box, stealing one or two items, and getting grounded for a week for losing your mother's favorite earring in the high school locker room may be a very common experience. But when your mother (or in this case, mother-in-law) is the actual Queen of England, the stakes are a little higher. Kate Middleton wore the queen's diamond chandelier earrings (opens in new tab) to see "Dear Evan Hansen" with Prince William on Tuesday night, Elle reports.
As royal style chronicler What Kate Wore points out, the Duchess of Cambridge has taken quite a shine to the earrings, wearing them to several public events in the past. She was first spotted wearing them in 2011, pairing them with an Alexander McQueen gown at the BAFTA celebration in Los Angeles (open in new tab), and has since worn them to the 2017 Royal Variety Performance and She has worn it to events such as the 2018 Tusk Conservation Awards.
