Prince George and Princess Charlotte's school is conducting self-isolation for students due to suspected coronavirus.

Thomas's Battersea, the school of Prince George (open in new tab) and Princess Charlotte (open in new tab), has confirmed that several of their young royal classmates have self-quarantined due to suspected exposure to the virus. The students in question have been tested for the virus, officially known as COVID-19 (opens in new tab), and are awaiting results.
A spokesperson for the school explained the situation in a statement on Thursday, writing (opens in new tab):
"Like all schools, we take the potential risks associated with the spread of Covid-19 very seriously, and as such, we are committed to infection control and to ensuring that staff and We closely follow government guidance on what to do if a student is suspected of being exposed to the virus or exhibiting any symptoms. Currently, only a small number of students have been tested, and these students are following government advice and staying home until the test results are available.
George (opens in new tab), 6, and Charlotte (opens in new tab), 4, are the entire Cambridge family (George and Charlotte (opens in new tab), parents Prince William and Kate Middleton (opens in new tab), and brother, 1-year-old Prince Louis (opens in new tab opens in new tab) attend a private school in Battersea, south London, less than four miles from Kensington Palace.
All parents of the school's roughly 550 students have been informed of the possibility that one of their students may have the disease, but a spokesperson said the school would not comment on specific cases to "protect the confidentiality of staff and students."
