The Queen reports that Prince Harry says "welcome home" anytime.

The royal family has been in a dramatic turmoil lately, to be honest, but it seems there has been a positive update from the palace. Apparently, Prince Harry and the Queen had an emotional four-hour chat about what has been (opens in new tab) (i.e., Meghan and Harry stepping down from their royal duties (opens in new tab)) and resolved some issues.

Harry showed up for lunch on Sunday and reportedly said that the Queen would welcome him back into the royal family if he changed his mind about leaving (opens in new tab). According to The Sun's Dan Wootton (opens in new tab), the Queen finally said, "You are much loved and always welcome back," and one source said, "Hopefully it was a clean break."

"The Queen had a lot to talk about with Harry, and it was the ideal time for the two to speak their minds," the source continued.

"When Harry and Meghan announced they wanted to quit, everything happened very quickly and it was very stressful for everyone involved. Sunday was the first time the Queen spoke with Harry alone and really got to know his plans. It was a much more relaxed environment and both of us were able to speak our minds."

Nevertheless, sources say that the Queen is still "very upset that he and Meghan are leaving and would like to see more of Archie, as would Prince Charles and the rest of the family. However, the Queen has so far accepted that Archie has made up his mind and intends to live in North America".

Nevertheless, the Queen also wanted to make it clear that this arrangement will not work unless she "abuses her royal position and tries to 'redeem' it. The Queen is protecting this institution and is aware of the cost of security. That is something that still needs to be worked out. But Harry is also the grandson that the Queen has always doted on. She made it clear to Harry that he and Meghan could always come back if they changed their minds and would be welcomed with open arms."

Sounds like this situation is going a bit well.
