Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's attendance this evening at the Endeavor Fund Awards (opens in new tab) honoring the achievements of wounded warriors is notable in that it is likely to be one of the last royal events (opens in new tab) before the Sussex family fully ends their role as active royalty. It is worth noting in this regard. It was also their first official joint attendance since announcing plans to step down from senior positions in the royal family.

But for one of this year's honorees, tonight's event was even more significant. Danny Holland called his girlfriend to the stage to propose to her after accepting the award for his accomplishments. The tender moment was captured by several journalists in the audience, who also captured Meghan's sweet reaction to the engagement.

Over the next few days, Harry and Meghan have a packed schedule of engagements in the UK. On Saturday, for example, the royal couple will appear at the Mountbatten Music Festival, and the Sussexes are also scheduled to attend Monday's Commonwealth Day service. Just weeks later, on March 31, Harry and Meghan will officially retire from their senior royal positions.
