Kate Middleton's new haircut was actually a return to "mommy bangs."
Every time Kate Middleton gets a new haircut, I am overjoyed at the change (and imagine straight-haired girls everywhere printing out photos and taking them to the hairdresser to explain, "I want it exactly like this, please.") Her recent trip to Ireland with her husband, Prince William, was no exception, as she removed her Gossip Girl headband to reveal short hair and clean curtain bangs that framed her face beautifully.
But it turns out that this is actually not the first time she has worn this hairstyle - according to HELLO! (opens in new tab)
"Fans may remember that she once named it 'mommy bangs' after debuting the style after Princess Charlotte's birth Perhaps it's because the Duchess was reportedly a bit unsure when she first tried the hairstyle in 2015. Since then, she has tried different styles, but seems to prefer shorter lengths to frame her face."
The last time she had this haircut, it was more blunt and emphatic (and looked super thick with lots of bangs). I am delighted with this new, more subtle look. Busy mom, eventful!
In contrast, here's Kate's (much longer) hairdo at the SportsAid Stars event at the London Stadium on February 25:

And here's how they look now:
Love it! is!
