Meghan Markle in a red cape dress at the Mountbatten Music Festival
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry (opens in new tab) attended the Mountbatten Music Festival tonight at London's Royal Albert Hall (opens in new tab). The event was one of their last as senior members of the royal family before the two leave royal duties later this month.
In fact, according to the Daily Mail's royal correspondent Rebecca English, the music festival is almost the last event the Sussexes (open in new tab) will attend before leaving the royal family.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made a dash for the Mountbatten Music Festival tonight at the Royal Albert Hall," English wrote on Twitter Saturday afternoon.
"This could be Harry's last official function as a Royal Marines general.
The festival, which brings together world-class musicians, composers, and Royal Marine Corps battalion conductors, is expected to be Harry's last time in uniform as a captain (opens in new tab).
Princess Meghan looked as glamorous as ever in a red Safiya cape dress (opens in new tab) and carried a red satin clutch bag (opens in new tab) with a Manolo Blahnik jeweled buckle. The dress cost $1,693, and the clutch weighed in at £1,260 (about $1,644). This year's Mountbatten Music Festival performance will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 80th anniversary of the formation of the British Command. However, if you're excited about Meghan's dress (opens in new tab), we won't criticize you.
