J.Lo and A-Rod Win Flip Challenge
Yesterday, on International Women's Day, the world woke up to the Flip the Switch Challenge (opens in new tab), the most perfect gift ever: Senator Elizabeth Warren and her SNL doppelganger, Kate McKinnon, dressed alike, same thing, flipped (opens in new tab). It was actually tremendous; after watching it 11,000 times, I thought no one else could make a 15-second flip clip as perfect as this one.
However! Don't sleep on Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. Rodriguez posted a TikTok clip of J.Lo on Twitter last night, writing, "Late night tik toks @JLo #WaitForIt. Really, really good. In the clip, J.Lo belts her waist in a white knit dress and performs "Genie in a Bottle"-style moves while A-Rod, in khakis, white button-down, blazer, and aviator sunglasses, films her in the mirror. But! As A-Rod says, wait a minute! Suddenly the scene flips, with Alex Rodriguez in a white knit dress belted at the waist performing Genie-in-a-Bottle-esque moves (he's even wearing her earrings - the attention to detail is irresistible), and J.Lo in her fiancé's outfit, both of them trying to keep straight faces. Desperate.
Well done, you two. Well done. Rodriguez is always game to be the most helpful social media partner (opens in new tab).
The two have been engaged for a year and are said to have set a wedding date (opens in new tab) for this summer. Few details have been shared so far, but Us Weekly (opens in new tab) reports that at least one unexpected guest will attend: "Marc Anthony will be attending J.Lo and A-Rod's wedding," the magazine reports, adding that Anthony and J.Lo explained that they "have always maintained a healthy and respectful relationship" after their breakup in 2011.
Now, if this Flip the Switch clip is any indication of these two's shenanigans, we can't wait to see all the Tik Toks coming out of their wedding!
