Gisele Bundchen on Diet and Exercise

In the April issue of Marie Claire, supermodel and sustainability queen Gisele Bundchen talks about her relationship with the earth (opens in new tab) and the steps she has taken to live a life that helps Mother Earth. She also shared her diet and exercise routine, guidance I never knew I needed.

When it comes to what she eats, Bündchen is obsessed with healthy eating. (A few years ago, she and her husband Tom Brady were more ...... strict diet (opens in new tab). ) "In our house, we try to eat organic foods that are in season and locally grown," she says. 'We believe that buying local gives us a better chance of getting fresh produce and supporting local farmers. We eat a mostly plant-based diet."

Giselle admitted that everything is in moderation and that some days she has cheat days. (Her big weakness is dark chocolate.

As for staying active, the 39-year-old revealed that her favorite time of day to release endorphins is early in the morning, in nature. 'Horseback riding, cycling, and skiing are my favorite ways to stay active and get in touch with nature,' Gisele told Marie Claire. 'Horseback riding, cycling, and skiing are my favorite ways to stay active and connect with nature. Being active energizes my body, mind, and soul. It makes me happy."

She also says she has recently gotten into meditation because it helps clear her mind. In particular, she says pranayama breathing exercises (the practice of controlled breathing) have changed her life. Clearly, we all need to take a cue from Giselle.
