A royal source explains why Archie did not join Meghan and Harry in England.

Isn't it very disheartening that some media outlets continue to exhibit the very same behavior that forced Meghan and Harry (opens in new tab) to step down as senior royals: accusations that the couple left baby Archie behind in Canada during their recent trip to England to spite the royal family. The accusation is that the couple left baby Archie behind in Canada during their recent trip to the UK in order to spite the royal family. Surprisingly, royal sources have confirmed that this is not the case. Instead, Meghan and Harry chose to leave Archie behind to avoid endangering his health during a coronavirus outbreak. Pretty hard to fault this decision, don't you think?

Telegraph columnist Bryony Gordon noted earlier this week that she attended the Duchess of Sussex's last engagement as senior royalty (a private meeting with academics supported by the Association of Commonwealth Universities) where coronavirus was the topic of discussion. Gordon later reported (opens in new tab) that "the decision to leave Archie in Canada was not out of petty spite, as some have reported, but out of concern for his health amid the threat of a global pandemic."

In happier Archie news, it doesn't seem to be long before the royal baby is on his feet: at last week's engagement ceremony at a British school, Princess Meghan reportedly told attendees, "He's just 10 months today and he's starting to try to walk (opens in new tab)." (Open new tab). And the day before, at the Endeavor Fund Awards, she said (opens in new tab)." Oh yes, he's 10 months old now, and he's crazy about everything." Cute! Cute!!!
