Katie Holmes (opens in new tab) is currently busy with the release of her films "Brahms" and "The Secret: Two Dreamers": she is also preparing to direct "Rare Objects" (opens in new tab).

Among his recent successes, Holmes reflected on past challenges in a new interview with InStyle (opens in new tab). In particular, the former "Dawson's Creek" (open in new tab) star discussed the time she and her daughter, Suri (open in new tab), moved to New York City in 2012. Holmes explained, "It was a great experience. There was a lot of attention, and on top of that we had a little kid. There were some funny moments in public.

But as she has gotten older, the actress seems to have come to terms with her life in the public eye and is more at peace with herself than ever before.

She told InStyle, "Obviously, as a public figure, I've gotten a lot of attention at different times in my life. And when you get a lot of attention, sometimes it's just too much and you don't want to leave the house."

She also said, "I've had a lot of attention at different times in my life.

She continued.

She continued, "Sometimes I get swayed by other people's opinions, but then I suddenly decide to do things my own way. I think I've finally figured it out. I'm realizing the projects I want and relaxing a little bit. I've been here a long time and I'm still here! I can't believe it." [but we can believe it and can't wait to see what Katie does next.
