Kate Middleton's sister (opens in new tab) has apparently taken to using a pseudonym (opens in new tab) in public to protect her identity. This makes perfect sense, considering that the royal family (open in new tab) and even the royal in-laws (open in new tab) are under constant scrutiny.

Unfortunately for Pippa (opens in new tab), her chosen code name is actually not that great in terms of hiding her identity. Pippa's new secretive habits and not-so-secret pseudonym (opens in new tab) were revealed by a cab driver who was recently called to pick up the mother of one.

"She ordered a cab for Lucy Middleton and kept calling, asking if I was still there as she hid behind a dark doorway," the driver told a reporter for the Daily Mail (opens in new tab).

The attempt to go incognito didn't really work out for Pippa, as her famous face coupled with the fact that she was still using her real (and very famous) last name made the cab driver suspicious enough to investigate after dropping her off.

And if you wonder where Pippa got the inspiration for her not-so-secret alter ego, it seems it was her cousin's name. The real Lucy Middleton is one of Prince Louis' godmothers.

"I later Googled the name and saw Lucy Middleton (Pippa and Kate's cousin) in a photo with Pippa and realized it was actually Pippa in my cab," the driver added.
