Prince George and Princess Charlotte not allowed to have best friends at school

Some places have perks to being part of the royal family (opens in new tab), but school is apparently not one of them (opens in new tab).

Prince George and Princess Charlotte (open in new tab) are the literal heirs to the monarchy, but they still have to follow the school's strict rules.

Specifically, the young royal school, Thomas Battersea School (open in new tab), has a rule prohibiting students from selecting and inviting classmates to parties held outside the school.

British journalist Jane Moore (open in new tab) recently explained this rule in an interview with ITV's Loose Women (open in new tab).

According to the Mirror, "There is a real emphasis on kindness, which is a really big thing in that school, and pastoral care is great," Moore said.

"They have a policy that if your kid is having a party, you don't hand out invitations in class unless all the kids in the class are invited.

Moore said the school does not encourage "best friends" and focuses more on overall inclusion.

"There are signs everywhere telling you to be kind, and that's the philosophy of the school," she explained. 'You are not encouraged to have a best friend.'

As far as school and royal rules go, this is pretty impressive.
