Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have begun their post-royal life (opens in new tab), and it is apparently all they have wanted.

Earlier this month, the Sussexes (opens in new tab) ended their last official engagement (opens in new tab) as full-time, senior members of the royal family (opens in new tab). And now the couple, along with their 10-month-old son Archie Harrison (opens in new tab), have begun their post-royal life, and they couldn't be happier (opens in new tab).

"This is what Meghan and Harry have always wanted, to create their own life," a source close to the couple told People (opens in new tab).

"It must feel like a huge relief to be out of the U.K. and on their own."

Harry and Meghan (open in new tab) have, at least for now, put down roots on Vancouver Island, Canada. Early reports indicated that the Sussexes were considering a move to Los Angeles (open in new tab), but Canada has proven to be a good fit for their family; according to sources cited by The Sun (open in new tab), since moving from the UK, Harry and Meghan (opens in new tab) have finally had the "freedom to do what they want" in order to "not bother" the locals on Vancouver Island (opens in new tab).

This is not the first time it has been reported that Harry and Meghan feel great (open in new tab) about their decision to step down from royal duties; in February, a source told the Daily Mail (open in new tab), "Meghan has no regrets and has limits. (She and Harry) say they feel like a huge burden has been lifted."

The source added: "(Meghan and Harry) are very happy to be together.

We are just happy that Harry and Meghan (and Archie) are happy.
