Harry and Meghan "Very Lonely" as Royal Family Locked Down by Coronavirus

The royal family has been separated for their own safety during the coronavirus pandemic, but a source told the Daily Mail that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are feeling lonely during this difficult and frightening time. The couple is in Canada (open in new tab) and has been living there from time to time since last October with their 10-month-old son, Archie. But despite the distance, sources said Harry is "concerned" about the risk of the queen and his father contracting the virus.

The Queen is reportedly planning to make a special address (opens in new tab) to the nation about the pandemic. According to the Daily Mail (opens in new tab), a source close to the family said: "It's a real shame [Meghan and Harry] aren't here."

The former senior royal shared an Instagram post (opens in new tab) about the virus last week, writing: "All of our lives have been affected by this in some way and it binds each of us globally. How we approach each other and our communities with empathy and kindness is now undeniably important."

As for the rest of the Royal Family, they are all currently on separate visits. The Queen and Prince Philip are reportedly staying at Windsor Manor, and even their next of kin (sorry George, Charlotte, and Louis) are not allowed to see them; the two are being cared for by a staff of eight, a far smaller number than the 100 people who are usually there.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall spend their days at Birkhall, a Highland estate. According to the Daily Mail, the couple have endeavored to have only "minimal face-to-face contact" with staff and police protection officers

, and the Prince and Duchess of Wales have been in the Highlands for the last two years. Meanwhile, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will hopefully soak up all the sun they can with their parents at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where the family has relocated. Perhaps this is where Prince George made the adorable Mother's Day card to Kate (see slide 4) that I am still obsessed with?
