Actress Catherine McNamara shares her nighttime skincare routine.

When actress Kathryn McNamara is not filming sweaty fight scenes for The CW's "Arrow" series, she is relaxing. For Kathryn McNamara, that means many health-related activities, including immersing herself in skin care. She joined us on the second episode of Marie Claire's Masked and Answered to tell us about her current favorite face mask: the Patchology "The Good Fight" Clear Skin Sheet Mask and all things beauty-related.

"This is my absolute favorite sheet mask," McNamara shares about her Patchology choice. It always refreshes my skin and resets it when I need to treat myself."

The 24-year-old usually listens to podcasts and audiobooks while wearing her mask. Working out, eating clean, drinking lots of water, and taking supplements also fall under her favorite self-care regimen.

"Sometimes my skin just doesn't behave," she admits about her acne. She adds, "I wear a lot of makeup for work, and I have a lot of projects where I'm fighting or sweating with makeup on, so I don't always have happy skin." To combat this, she applies an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to her skin before bed to soothe inflammation. But the occasional breakout doesn't stop her love of makeup."

"Makeup is about making a statement and saying something about your personality and what you want to express to the world.

When she removes her makeup at night, she begins her skincare routine by first removing the first layer of makeup with drugstore makeup wipes. Next, she cleanses with Tatcha's Pure One-Step Camellia Oil Cleanser (opens in new tab) ($48) and continues to remove makeup while nourishing her skin. Finish the cleansing process with Chanel Anti-Pollution Cleansing Milk (open in new tab) ($48), her "holy grail cleanser," passed down from her actress grandmother. For light exfoliation, she uses Tatcha's Rice Powder (open in new tab) ($48) and Clarisonic Brush (open in new tab) ($99) several times a week. Nighttime skincare is finished with Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (open in new tab) ($28) and finished with Tatcha's The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream (open in new tab) ($60).
