Prince William "seriously considering" returning to work as an ambulance pilot.

The Royal Family has been socially isolated at various estates (open in new tab) during the coronavirus pandemic, with Prince William and Kate Middleton currently staying at their country home. However, Prince William has reportedly said privately that he is "seriously considering returning" to his former profession as an air ambulance pilot to help fight the coronavirus in the UK

.

According to a source speaking to The Sun (opens in new tab), "He knows the whole country is working hard and wants to help. But it's complicated because he originally walked away from the job to become an active Royal senior"

. [The role is even more important now that Charles is ill, Harry has left with Princess Meghan (opens in new tab), and Andrew is effectively out of the public eye. But William is keen to do whatever he can to help."

William originally lived in his current home in Norfolk when he was an air ambulance pilot, and one source confirms that his current residence could work to his advantage should he wish to return to the job. 'There are all sorts of practical issues that would have to be overcome, like adjusting to shift patterns. But if he wants it, he is in the right place now."
