Dolly Parton Reads Bedtime Stories in New YouTube Series

Yes, fine: technically, Dolly Parton's (opens in new tab) new YouTube series is for kids, but isn't the abiding love for Dolly and the desperate need to be lulled to sleep now a universal quality? Isn't your YouTube history a secret between you, your Internet provider, and God? "Parton is reading "The Little Engine That Could" not to a fussy four-year-old, but to the incessant anxiety chatter for eight to ten minutes before bed. How does he even know that it is a 26-year-old woman who just wants to drown out the incessant anxiety chatter for 8-10 minutes before bed?

Anyway, here's what I'm trying to say: according to the press release (opens in new tab), "Goodnight With Dolly" (opens in new tab) begins April 2 at 7 p.m. EST and will air for 10 weeks. She chose the title from the Imagination Library, an international book-giving program, and begins with the aforementioned "The Little Engine That Could" by Watty Piper.
