'Parasite' Comes to Hulu
If you're keeping cool at home trying to help people, you may find that you've run out of things to stream. (Opens in new tab) No matter how many times you rewatch "Gossip Girl" (Opens in new tab), you're tired of basking in the glory of the 00s. Besides, there's no better time than now to watch something that will make your movie-loving friends proud. The Parasite.
Directed by Pon Joon-ho, this Korean film was a smash hit at the 92nd Academy Awards in February, winning the most Oscars of the year. It won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Foreign Language Film. It became the first non-English language film to win Best Picture and made its mark on Academy Awards history (open in new tab).
But if you missed the film in theaters before it became a huge success, don't worry. Parasites will be available for streaming on Hulu (opens in new tab) starting April 8.
Yes, the story of a low-income family's plot to get their entire family employed by a super-rich family before the shit hits the fan will be yours this self-isolating season!
It's also available on other online platforms such as Amazon (opens in a new tab), but you'll have to shell out some cash.
And if you like this film, I recommend Snowpiercer. This film, also directed by Juno, stars the handsome Chris Evans as a man in a post-apocalyptic post-ice age world where everyone lives on trains. Aside from the mute Tom Hardy, it has a lot of "Mad Max: Death Road to Fury" vibes. After seeing "Parasite," of course.
