In California, where the family is based, all residents are currently under a shelter-in-home order.
It is not known if Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, who lives in LA, is quarantined with the family. But "E!" reported last week (opens in new tab) that the family is using FaceTime to connect with loved ones: ...... And they have confirmed that 11-month-old Archie is playing a lot, the report said.
Archie "loves to have FaceTime playdates with the other little ones in their lives," a source told E!
A friend told People (opens in new tab) last week that Meghan and Harry are still adjusting very well to this new routine. The source said of their days, "Like everyone else, they [Meghan, Harry, and Archie] are adjusting [to the social distancing], being cautious and safe." Archie "is teething and is a happy baby. I'm sure he's happy to be out in the California sunshine."
Meghan and Harry released their first statement earlier this week since officially transitioning from their senior positions in the royal family on April 1. The couple confirmed that the name of their new nonprofit organization is "Archewell" (opens in new tab), inspired by their son's name Archie.
They told The Telegraph that they are now focusing on the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Like you, we are focused on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic, but in the face of this information coming to light (The Telegraph obtained trademark documents) and how this We felt compelled to share the story," said Megan and Harry, "Before SussexRoyal, the idea of "Arche," which means "source of action" in Greek, was born. It tied in with the concept of a charitable organization we hoped to create someday and was the inspiration for our son's name. Doing something meaningful and important, Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word meaning strength and action with another word that evokes the deep resources that each of us must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell at the right time."
