Kate Middleton has met many famous people, but apparently none more so than David Attenborough.

The Duchess revealed this interesting tidbit in a recent video call (opens in new tab) with the Casterton Primary Academy. (Anita Guidotti, chief executive of the Pendle Trust, told Hello (opens in new tab) that it was the children at the school who were curious." The kids even asked who was the most famous person they had met. Guidotti recalled. The Duchess said, "George has seen a lot of David Attenborough, Blue Planet, etc., so it was probably her.

Kate has met Attenborough many times, most recently at the naming ceremony for the polar research vessel RRS Sir David Attenborough (opens in new tab). I am very pleased to name this ship Sir David Attenborough. May God bless this ship and all who sail on it," Kate said at the ship's naming ceremony.

The Duchess is not the only royal who has expressed a fondness for Attenborough. It is clear that Prince George likes him, as Kate said she has watched many of his documentaries. But Attenborough's relationship with the Windsors is much older; he is the same age as Queen Elizabeth and they have enjoyed a long friendship (opens in new tab). Prince Charles first met Attenborough during a tour of the BBC television studios in 1958. Prince William calls the naturalist a "national treasure."
