Fans Accuse Diddy of Shutting Down Rizzo's Twerking on Instagram Live

Yesterday, Diddy took to Instagram Live to raise money for Direct Relief (opens in new tab), a nonprofit organization that "delivers vital medicines and other needed supplies to communities hit by poverty and emergencies around the world," along with many celebrities, for the Dance-a-thon ( (opens in new tab). This is all great and all, but Diddy said of Rizzo's twerking, "Hey, hey, hey, hey! It's Easter Sunday, let's do some more family-friendly tunes," and things got super awkward when he shut it down.

Rizzo seemed quite embarrassed to be called out and said, "Sorry, sorry, sorry! But here's the thing. Diddy then had Dreya Michelle on the dance-a-thon and didn't shut her twerking down at all; The Shade Room captured both moments, so let's swipe through: [Entertainment Tonight (opens in new tab) According to the report, Diddy received a lot of backlash from fans for this hypocritical act. Oh, and Twitter is pretty excited about it, with Rizzo's name trending.

Diddy eventually wrote on Instagram Stories, "One thing I want to make clear. My queen, my sister Rizzo, stopped her music because of a lot of abuse, not because she was twerking. She's the best twerker in the world. Let me make that clear. I'm not talking about twerking. Twerking at Easter is allowed. There was a lot of abuse on the record. That's why we stopped the record. But Rizzo, we love you and everyone stop looking for the negative and focus on the positive!"
