The whole time I was packing up these animals, there were moments when I thought, "I can't get this far, this is a waste of time, my house won't burn." Of course it burned down, and it was painful to live in."

"I could appreciate the fact that I was able to rescue all the animals and almost everything in the house that burned down is replaceable to some degree." There are a few things that we can never get back that are a little more thoughtful."
