Katie Holmes (opens in new tab) understands this, which is why she divorced him in 2012 after six years of marriage, partly because of her involvement with the Church of Scientology. Since moving across the country (opens in new tab) to New York, Katie and her 14-year-old daughter, Sri Cruz (opens in new tab), have become incredibly close.

According to a new report by Us Weekly (opens in new tab), "You'd be hard-pressed to find a mother-daughter duo that is so in tune. They are a real team-their connection is a beautiful thing to witness." Katie and Suri are often seen strolling the streets together, and Katie occasionally gives glimpses into their lives on her Instagram. Just recently, Katie posted a photo of how Suri spent her birthday while in quarantine, and they definitely seem to be making the most of their time indoors.

Us sources also added that Katie is able to snuggle with Suri and vice versa. When Katie is stressed or depressed, Suri is very compassionate and loving. Katie feels like her daughter is really her little angel, and they have a really great relationship."

The magazine previously reported that Tom has no relationship with Suri because of his religious beliefs; in 2017, a source said (opens in new tab), "Tom is not a good friend." Tom has not seen or even called Suri in almost three years." Since the relationship between Suri and her father is virtually nonexistent, it is surprising to hear that she and Katie are so close.
