Gigi Hadid has personally confirmed reports that she is expecting her first child with Zayn Malik (opens in new tab). The model made a remote appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon and told the host that yes, she is pregnant when he congratulated her.

"Thank you so much!" She said. 'Of course we wish we could have announced it in our own words, but we are so excited, so happy, and so grateful for everyone's blessing and support.'

Malik has yet to post anything on Instagram. Hadid's interview came two days after several news outlets reported that Hadid was pregnant with her first child; "Entertainment Tonight" reported that sources said Hadid was initially trying to keep the news quiet.

"Gigi and Zayn are expecting their first child together and the couple is very excited!" said the outlet's source. 'Gigi has been keeping it a secret from her family and friends for a while because she's only a few months along. Since Gigi and Zayn got back together late last year, it's as if they never skipped a beat and knew what they were getting was something special. The couple and their families are overjoyed."[7

TMZ reported on April 28 that Hadid was about 20 weeks along at that point and pregnant with a baby girl.

Hadid spoke of her desire to have children this past February, and in an interview with i-D magazine (opens in new tab), the model discussed her future ambitions in the fashion industry. Hadid said, "The older I get, the more I ...... Yes, I think I will have a family one day. I love the creative side of fashion. The people I work with make me very happy. But maybe I'll end up cooking full time.
