New biographies of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now available.
Royal reporter Omid Scobie has been a member of the royal family from the November 2017 engagement announcement (opens in new tab), through Thomas Markle's drama (opens in new tab), the royal wedding (opens in new tab), and eventual exit from the royal family (opens in new tab), Harry is one of the few people with inside access to the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Now, in an all-new biography, Scobie and Emmy Award-winning reporter Caroline Durand share what they've learned about the couple through the ups and downs.
Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family (August 11) reveals the details of Harry and Meghan's life together, sneaking into the story behind the headlines and past debunks rumors about the couple that have dominated their lives for the past two years. Throughout the writing process, Scobie and Durand were reportedly able to contact those closest to the Duke and Duchess, allowing the authors to bring them to life as they are, both inside and outside the royal family.
"The purpose of the book is to portray the real Harry and Meghan. This couple continues to inspire many people around the world through their humanitarian and charitable work, but are often portrayed inaccurately," Scobie and Duran said in a press release. "Our mission has been driven by a desire to accurately tell their journey and finally present the truth about the misinformation that has become gospel simply because it has been repeated so many times. It is thanks to our sources that we have been able to share the definitive story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex."
We hope that the truth will be revealed about Kate Middleton, the Queen and Meghan's relationship, and the real events that caused the rift in Prince William and Prince Harry's relationship. Perhaps the most important part of the book will include why Meg and Harry decided to free themselves from the royal family and what awaits them in their lives as humanitarians outside the royal family.
Finding Freedom will be released on August 11, 2020. Pre-orders are available here (opens in a new tab).
