In the midst of all the craziness, just a little bit better (...) in the dramatic, bizarre, and almost awful Bachelor season (opens in new tab) that proved to the world that Peter Weber can't make a decision to save his own life There was news: Weber admitted that he is officially dating Kelly Flanagan, who was sent home while in the top five of his season. You may be scratching your head a bit, but let me explain. (Weber officially chose Hannah Ann Sluss (open in new tab) and the two got engaged in the first part of the finale. Then, like Allie, he chose runner-up Madison Prewett (open in new tab) and quickly broke up with her; the two came out and promised to make it work, even though they weren't entirely clear on where they stood in their relationship; they both had a lot of fans and Weber's mother, Barb (open in new tab), accused her of being a "bitch" and pleaded with her son to dump Prewett. Flanagan was in the audience during this exchange, but did not go on stage.

And. A few weeks later, photos of Flanagan and Weber hanging out and making out circulated. After that, more and more photos and videos emerged, confirming that the two were getting serious. What is intriguing is that the early timeline of when they started dating coincides with Weber and Prewett's conversations and breakup with Slass. I am confused, so check below and make sense of it all.

It's official: Weber admitted to dating Flanagan at this point. Flanagan responded with a heart mark.

After a bunch of sequestered Tiktoks, Weber and Flanagan trolled the haters by singing "Nobody Wanna See Us Together": "Nobody wants to see us together, but it doesn't matter, I have you." And Weber's mother Barber confirmed in a lovey-dovey collage that they were dating:

Oops. I wonder if Weber gave her permission.

Weber, Flanagan, and Bachelorette alum Dustin Kendrick dance as if no one is watching.

What is this? Weber, Flanagan, and Kendrick are isolated together, just reenacting the Full House intro together. They're just friends, right? Yes.

In the deleted video, Weber and friends make the most of their isolation (as do Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron (opens in new tab)). And wait, who is there at the end?

Weber and Flanagan have been photographed getting super lovey-dovey on the Chicago boardwalk (see photos here (opens in new tab)). Fans collectively reacted, wait, what?

Prewett claimed this was the day Weber contacted him to say he missed her (opens in new tab). A few days later, he sent her an email explaining Flanagan's affair. She also states that she was close to Flanagan during the shoot, but not now (ouch).

Shortly after the finale, Flanagan tried to clear up the misunderstanding and said she and Weber were not together (opens in new tab). This was in the interim while waiting to hear if Weber and Prewett would work out.

In the finale of The Bachelor, Flanagan is randomly in the audience and Chris Harrison says it's super important that she be there. And nothing happens (aside from the Barb/Madison/Peter (open in new tab) fiasco).

ICYMI: Weber ends the season engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss, then breaks up, then reunites with Prewett; the two officially break up a few days later.

However. Someone sitting near Barb's friends (open in new tab) apparently overheard this little tidbit:

"They were unaware that my colleagues were eavesdropping, and Barb told them that Peter and Kelly had dated together a few times and talked a lot between the breakup of her engagement to HA and his appearance on Madison and ATFR He also told me, in hushed tones, that they had talked a lot in the time between.

In other words, there seems to be both smoke and fire in these conflicting timelines.

This has led to chronic speculation that Weber is secretly dating Flanagan (opens in new tab) and that we are in for a surprise ending.

There are unconfirmed rumors that Flanagan and Weber are playing at the Super Bowl before filming is finished and the finale airs. Fans point out that in this Kylie Jenner video, Weber can be seen and heard him mention Flanagan on different occasions:

According to Reality Steve, Weber was broke up with Sluss (open in new tab) the week of the Super Bowl, but it seems possible that he was also planning a reunion with Prewett while all this was going on:

And Prewett was playing with Weber's BFF in mid-February. So the timing is a bit sketchy.

The Bachelor Movie Flanagan says throughout that she's not particularly a fan of the show's drama. At one point she calls Weber "rewarding drama," which is a nice relief from the craziness for fans who dislike the overwhelming pettiness that has been the majority of this season.

Before filming began this season, Flanagan met Weber at a wedding they both attended and apparently thought it was "fate." It was enough to get Flanagan on the show in the first place.
