Meghan Markle reveals that Archie has two cute nicknames.

Have you recovered yet from the overwhelmingly cute video of Meghan Markle reading a book to baby Archie Harrison (opens in new tab) that was released on his first birthday? Are you still in shock at the absolute cuteness of Archie giggling, turning the pages on his own, and dropping the book on the floor with perfect comic timing, or at the sight of Meghan and Harry quack-whacking like ducks to Archie's absolute delight?

Well, if there's room in your heart for one more very cute royal baby subplot, I'll gladly provide it: as the People article (opens in new tab) notes, the Duchess of Sussex gave her son his two favorite nicknames in the video She used one of her two favorite nicknames for her son, "Arch. This is close to the Greek word "arche," meaning "source of action," and is the source of both Archie's name and the name of the forthcoming charitable organization "Archewell."

Harry also uses this nickname, reports Harper's Bazaar (opens in new tab): before the Sussexes met Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Tandeka Tutu-Gushashe, in September, Archbishop Desmond Tutu told his son, "Meet Arch, Arch!" He was videotaped saying.

Another of Meghan's nicknames for Archie, "Baba," was also revealed when the Sussexes met Archbishop Tutu and Tutu-Gushashe; according to People (opens in new tab), before Meghan found Archie dribbling, " Hello! Hello! Hello!" and encouraged him. Before Harry addressed the slobbery situation, Princess Meghan said, "Oh, bubba!" I said. Again, very, very, very cute.
