Tina Craig masters the 10-minute skincare routine

Welcome to Beauty Around the Clock, Marie Claire's weekly peek into the daily lives of the most influential women in their industries. How do these women manage to get through the day's work?

Tina Craig rose to fame in 2005 as the founder of BagSnob, one of the first fashion blogs to go global. Now, the Dallas-based entrepreneur is diving into her second love, beauty, with the launch of U Beauty (opens in new tab). Here, she spends 24 hours in her world.

I wake up at 6:30 a.m., check my phone for emails, and then do my daily 10-minute meditation on the Calm app. I try to get eight to nine hours of sleep, usually seven to eight.

Spend no more than 10 minutes on skin care: a dab of Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water (open in new tab), then apply U Beauty Resurfacing Compound (open in new tab). It visibly resurfaces the skin, tightens pores, brightens skin tone, refines texture, fades fine lines and wrinkles, and hydrates. Then moisturize with Augustinus Bader Rich Cream (opens in new tab) and finish with Dr. Barbara Sturm Sun Drops with SPF 50 (opens in new tab).

As for my hair: I haven't brushed it in weeks. Twice a week I shampoo it with Virtue Full Shampoo (opens in new tab) and then dry it with a hair dryer. When I take pictures or have zoom coverage, I dry it quickly with a Dyson Supersonic hair dryer (opens in new tab).

I don't eat breakfast. When I immigrated to the U.S. at age 8 from Taiwan, I had a hard time adjusting to the American breakfast. Cold cereal and milk. What was that? I wanted warm porridge with salted fish and duck eggs. So I stopped eating breakfast. Maybe that is why I have maintained the same weight since I was a teenager. I have read that the Japanese believe that simply drinking a cup of green tea every morning has many health benefits, including boosting the immune system.

With glowing, healthy skin, makeup is minimal, but eyes are defined and emphasized with mega lashes and eyeliner. I also love the shiny nude color lip gloss. For perfume, I use gardenia-scented Kai perfume oil (opens in new tab) mixed with Le Labo Lys 41 Eau de Parfum (opens in new tab) or Creed Fleurissimo (opens in new tab) (a sentimental old favorite since I wore it to a wedding). I use a mixture of the two.

Place a lamp directly behind your iPhone or laptop to soften your face. It creates a less than flattering shadow.

When I wake up each morning, I do a Daily Calm meditation in the Calm app (opens in a new tab). Then I listen to various meditations before going to sleep. Oprah and Deepak's 21-Day Meditation Experience is a recent favorite; whenever I feel the need to focus throughout the day, I do a quick guided 10-minute session.

I jump on the treadmill as soon as I wake up. My favorite fitness routine is a series of Pilates mat exercises done at home and a quick sweat session on the treadmill set to the highest incline with hand weights.

Showers are taken twice a day, after working out in the morning and before bed. Taking care of your body skin is just as important as your face. I've been using Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Body Soap (opens in new tab), aka 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint Pure Castile Soap, for 20 years. It may not sound glamorous, but it is the best body soap out there. The cool, minty scent is rich in essential oils and keeps my skin supple and soft. After showering, I use UMA Absolute Anti-Aging Body Oil (opens in a new tab). It smells like a luxurious spa, not like my boring bathroom.

My grandmother

Mindy Grossman, CEO of WW (formerly Weight Watchers)

My father taught me to never give up and to always stay curious. I guess that's why I ask so many questions. As my business partner Katie says, "Why is my favorite word."

Being a mother, this is also the most rewarding thing. When I got pregnant (my son is now 15), I knew nothing about babies and lived in Texas with no immediate family. I wanted a child more than anything, but my experiences with miscarriages and infertility made me extra cautious. There is a reason why the scariest things in life often turn out to be the best things.

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Eyeliner (opens in new tab): I have oily eyelids, but I don't have to worry about smudging with this.

Clé de Peau Beauté Illuminating Concentrate Mask (opens in new tab) is my go-to treatment before a big event or photo shoot. My evening look is a slight amplification of my daytime look. I add glitter shadow to the lash line, apply thick eyeliner and bright lip gloss. It takes only 20 minutes.

At night, cleanse with iS Clinical Gel (open in new tab), followed by a resurfacing compound, sealed with Augustinus Vader Rich Cream (open in new tab), Clé de Peau Beauté Enhancing Eye Contour Cream Supreme (open in new tab) to firm and hydrate the delicate eye area. My favorite tool is the U Beauty x ReFa I Style (opens in new tab). It mimics the rhythmic tapping of an esthetician's fingertips to tighten and firm the skin. Usually takes less than 10 minutes. On nights when you use this tool, spend an additional 5 minutes. Then, once a week, add 20 minutes using the Tripol RF Stop X (opens in new tab), which is ideal for deep skin tightening. Next to his bed, he keeps a Kindle, Dr. Rogers' Restore Healing Balm (opens in new tab) for over-washed hands, a roller, and a hand sanitizer.

I text my son goodnight, then get into bed and turn on my sleep meditation app.
