Queen enjoys daily horseback riding in quarantine

If I live into my 90s--which I don't expect, since anxiety levels can't possibly be good for the heart--I imagine I'll spend my days as sedentary as possible, making all my unfortunate family members feel guilty and having pastries and iced coffee delivered directly to my very large, very luxurious bed. Not at all how 94-year-old Queen Elizabeth II spends her time! According to Vanity Fair, while sequestered at Windsor Castle, she literally goes horseback riding (opens in new tab) every day while dressing up for dinner with her husband, HRH Prince Philip. opens in new tab) and spending time on her own. I can't relate! Future me!

An inside source told Vanity Fair magazine (opens in new tab) that the queen goes horseback riding every day and is "in great spirits."

A palace aide also told the magazine that once the coronavirus outbreak is over, the queen will resume her official duties as soon as possible. 'It is certainly not true that the Queen will no longer be seen in public. The queen intends to return to work, and when she does, we will see her working harder than ever."

One more royal tidbit: the Queen and Prince Philip, who are in isolation at Windsor Castle, are reportedly enjoying the extra time they are spending together after living separately for two years. One of the most pleasant things for the queen is that she is spending more time with her husband than usual," a source told Vanity Fair magazine (opens in new tab). 'The queen is probably of the generation that dresses for dinner.'
