In the Grimes and Mask household, two weeks after Grimes gave birth to baby XÆA-12 Mask (open in new tab), all does not seem to be in harmony. However, the reports of discord do not come from Grimes or Mask himself, but from Grimes' mother, journalist and former lawyer Sandy Garossino. In a series of tweets, Garossino accused Mask of "spouting MRA crap on Twitter" shortly after Grimes' "difficult" birth experience. The tweet has since been deleted, but Buzzfeed reporter Ryan Mack had the foresight to take a screenshot and post it on Twitter.

Here's the situation: over the weekend, Mask posted "Take the red pill" and continued to add to his bibliography of controversial tweets. For those who don't know: the concept of the "red pill," once little more than a Matrix reference, has been roundly co-opted by men's rights activists (MRAs), anti-feminists, and the alt-right. In short, any mention of the red pill should serve as a very loud and very urgent red flag.

The tweet was so unpopular with Garossino that he tweeted, " If your partner has had a difficult pregnancy and delivery in the last two weeks . And if you are over 16, would you now be blasting MRA crap on Twitter?

And Garossino wasn't done yet. Political consultant Gerald Butts said, "Buddy has a 3-week-old baby. Maybe stay away from the broflake," she tweeted, to which he replied, "He's not even 2 weeks old yet."

She also retweeted a post from New York magazine's "Pivot" podcast. It is reasonable to assume that Garossino was not in favor of the move:
