Queen Elizabeth's pastry chefs share their royal-approved scone recipe

Flour is in short supply in the U.S., where the sourdough habit is taking hold. But if you can get your hands on a bag and want to spend a weekend baking, you're in luck. Queen Elizabeth's pastry chefs have shared their recipe for fruit scones.

In normal times, Buckingham Palace would have hosted a series of garden parties each summer to honor distinguished guests who had made a positive impact on the community, where tea, sandwiches, and scones would have been served.

Unfortunately, this year's parties have been canceled (opens in new tab) as social distancing measures continue to be taken due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, as a comforting reminder, we can make the snacks royal-approved.
