Princess Diana (opens in new tab) was clearly well-loved. Not only did the public adore her, earning her the nickname "The People's Princess" (opens in new tab), but royal photographers were also big fans.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly (opens in new tab) for an episode of "Royally Us" (opens in new tab), royal photographer Tim Luke was so pleased that Princess Diana (opens in new tab) took photos at royal events because explained why:

"A lot of times our work is very boring. Often what we do is very boring... The Princess of Wales used to do this a lot, always turning around before entering a building and looking at us at the last moment. We went to the Tate Gallery and there was a reception. We went to the Tate Gallery, there was a reception. On the other hand, the young royals today are a little different. Of course, they are just polite, but in her case it was great because she always knew that she would be photographed."

Luke also took time to reflect on Princess Diana (open in new tab) as a person, and naturally, he was all passionate about the late royal. [She was] a very warm person. She was wonderful to photograph."

After Diana's tragic death in 1997 (opens in new tab), Luke continued to photograph the royal family, especially Prince Charles (opens in new tab).

"I continued to photograph the Crown Prince for years, especially after Princess Diana's death," Luke said of the heir to the British throne. 'He's great to take pictures with. He wears hats and does all kinds of things."
