In a perfect bit of "Friday Good News I sorely need right now," Meghan Markle did something very sweet for her patron Mayhew, a London charity that works with dogs and cats in the community. She wrote the foreword to her annual report, which was written a few weeks ago, in the midst of the first wave of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. She then revealed that she was sponsoring (technically re-sponsoring) a kennel in the name of her sweet son Archie! Say it with me: haha!

Princess Meghan has always had a special connection to animals: in addition to her commitment to conservation, including narrating a Disney movie about elephants (opens in new tab), she herself has a dog (opens in new tab). She has visited Mayhew before and taken photos of the adorable dog pictured above. And if you think I didn't go down the wormhole associated with the dog photo, then you don't know me at all.
