Kate Middleton in a bright blue dress reminiscent of Meghan Markle

The Duke and Duchess are like mirrors to each other! Kate Middleton released a new video on Instagram (opens in new tab) inviting the British public to enter her coronavirus photography project with the National Gallery, "Hold Still" (opens in new tab), Hello! As noted, to shoot the video, she wore a bright blue Stella McCartney dress - which bears a striking resemblance to the cerulean Victoria Beckham dress worn by Meghan Markle at the Endeavor Fund in March. If I mention a certain umbrella moment that is "somehow unfamiliar" to me, will the exact dress come to mind?

Kate's dress is not new; she wore it to the National Portrait Gallery in 2012 and has worn it several times since, Hello! reports. But it seems fair to assume that she marveled at Meghan and Harry's moment in the rain as much as we did, and that it may have inspired her to dig out her own bright blue dress.

"Another Reason Why Kate is Reviewing Stella McCartney's Dresses" It's no secret that Kate has a penchant for themes. Specifically, she is a big fan of combining her outfits with engagement themes (see: all the green she wore in Ireland). And during the coronavirus pandemic, she continues to do so in her video appearances. For example, in a video commemorating Australia's "Thank a First Responder Day," Kate once again wore the yellow Roxanda dress (opens in new tab) that debuted during the Cambridges' 2014 tour of Australia and New Zealand. [As noted above, Kate first wore the Stella McCartney dress at the National Portrait Gallery. Again: Kate loves the theme!
