Royal aides fear Prince William will be "portrayed as a bad guy" in biographies of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

A new biography about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is about to be released (opens in new tab) (titled Finding Freedom (opens in new tab)). However, royal aides are apparently concerned that the book will portray Prince William as a "bad guy" -- especially given the constant speculation about his "feud" with Prince Harry.

A source told The Sun (opens in new tab) that the aides fear that Prince William will be "portrayed as the bad guy" and are "particularly worried that he will be portrayed in a bad light." Such family squabbles should not be out in the open. For the sake of the future monarch, this should not happen. This book may be the most damaging to the royal family since Princess Diana's interview with Martin Bashir in Panorama."

The source continued, "The concern is that [William] will be portrayed as an unfeeling villain to the kind and benevolent Harry and Meghan. Aides are privately concerned. The words unsympathetic, unfeeling, and unsupportive are used, but of course no one knows exactly what they are."

The biography remains tightly wrapped, but it seems unlikely to focus on the drama of a weary Prince William, even though the book is literally about Harry and Princess Meghan. Just saying!

Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family (opens in new tab), written by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, will be released on August 11 It will be released on August 11.
