Queen Laetitia wears green floral dress by Maje for her visit to Palma de Mallorca
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's been a while since we've seen royalty out and about (Queen E won't be showing up anytime soon for official business (opens in new tab)). So when we spotted King Felipe of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain (opens in new tab) out in Palma de Mallorca, we turned our attention to this handsome pair. Since Spain relaxed its closure rules (opens in new tab), the Spanish royal family was out for business. The list went like this: a scheduled meeting with a social agent to learn about health protocols at a hotel on the island. For this visit, they both wore face masks (opens in new tab) and tried to dress business casual.
King Felipe of Spain wore a blazer and pants combination in shades of blue, while Queen Letizia wore a green floral Maje dress. The long-sleeved, knee-length dress featured a V-shaped neckline and shirring in the center. (This cute Maje dress is a re-wear; Queen Letizia first debuted it on July 25, 2019 (opens in new tab). She paired the summer dress with lace-up classic espadrilles.
The visit to the island is part of King Felipe and Queen Letizia's royal tour of several Spanish autonomous regions with the aim of supporting economic, social, and cultural activities after the COVID-19 outbreak. The hardworking duo is one of many royal families from around the world. See below for more on the Spanish royal family's visit.
