Pistol Black, son of Patrice Endres, still seeks justice
The story of hairdresser Patrice Endres' disappearance and death (opens in new tab) unfolds in sad detail in "13 Minutes," an episode from the first season of Netflix's "Unsolved Mysteries" reboot. The response to the episode has left viewers keenly interested in what her life was like before her disappearance and what exactly happened to the popular community figure and entrepreneur (opens in new tab). One of the saddest aspects of her story is the intimate relationship between Patrice and her son, Pistol Black. Black gives candid interviews throughout the episode and is clearly saddened by the loss of his kind and caring parent. Although there are no active suspects in the beloved hairdresser's disappearance and death at this time, Black still wants closure and justice.
From what I've heard about Black, they were very close and basically best friends. Black said that on the morning of the day she disappeared, he wanted to get to school early to see his girlfriend and there was a bit of a struggle because he had a rebellious streak in him, but his friends would never have left him on his own, how Patrice loved her son so much He told them.
On April 15, 2004, the 13 minutes between Patrice's last sighting and her disappearance from the salon were called "13 minutes," and a frantic search was conducted. The prevailing theory was that money had been stolen from the safe and that she had been kidnapped. The few clues yielded nothing, and her body was found more than a year and a half later. No one has been arrested in the case, and despite numerous interviews and false confessions (including those of two serial killers believed to be operating in the area at the time), no new leads appear to be forthcoming.
There is ongoing hostility between Black and Robb, and Robb said in an episode that as soon as Patrice disappeared, he kicked Black out of the house (without giving him any of his personal belongings, according to the pistol). When his mother was found murdered, Black said he was devastated and held out hope to the end that she might be found alive.
After Patrice's death, Pistol came to live with her father. Currently, there is not much information online about Black, but this may be intentional. It is unclear if the LinkedIn page with the same name is the same Pistol Black (opens in new tab), but if so, he works as a master insulation installer in Georgia.
In the episode, Black said that it has been 15 years since his mother's death and that he has none of her personal belongings (Rob has her belongings and ashes - which Rob says he is glad Black does not have).
Black said he is still looking for closure and justice. 'I just wish I could be half the person she is,' he said tearfully in the episode."
