Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish (opens in new tab) has been sporting a faux locro as a protective style since quarantine began. But all that changed on Tuesday when Haddish took to Instagram with scissors in hand to announce that it was time for a fresh new look-big chop (opens in new tab).
Haddish explained to fans that she had been talking about cutting all of her hair off for some time: "I cut all of my hair off because I want to see my scalp. I know my whole body and I know where all the moles are, but I don't know my scalp. So hello scalp. #SheReady for everything," she wrote as a caption. Haddish wrote as a caption. The comedian cut each strand of hair from the roots. Throughout the process, Haddish repeated the following reassuring affirmations to himself: "It'll grow back," and "Today's a good day!" . She finished by brushing off her new buzz cut and posing for the camera.
In a follow-up video, Starr assured critics that her decision to cut her hair had nothing to do with her mental state. 'There's nothing wrong with my brain. I'm not suffering from anything emotional or anything," Haddish said. In fact, Haddish said there are positive aspects to having her hair cut off. Haddish explained, "This is the first time I've ever showered and not worried about getting my hair wet." She is even pleased that she has more time to devote to self-care.
