Rosie Huntington-Whiteley loves her "me" time!
I wake up around 6:30 when my alarm goes off. I'm the type to doze off, so I usually like to lay in bed for a bit to wake up. I'm not a morning person. My other husband wakes up with a pinch when I open my eyes. I like to spend a little time to myself. Mostly I stay in bed and check my email or read the news.
I do laundry, get dressed, and when my son wakes up at 8:00, all hell breaks loose. I feed him breakfast, walk out the door, and if I'm not with my son that day, I go to the gym, work out, and head home.
Usually in the morning I wash my face, cleanse, tone, and use a serum: cleanse with iS Clinical's Cleansing Complex, followed by a polyvitamin serum or super serum, and finish with a Hydracool serum.
Shiny, bright skin and good eyebrows are everything. I always wear mascara, so I'm really looking forward to trying the new Unlock Instant Extension Mascara from Hourglass (opens in new tab). When I don't wear mascara, I usually wear eyelash extensions. But I haven't worn mascara for the past few months because of the quarantine. And the Hourglass powder is great. Ambient Lighting blush (opens in new tab) is my go-to. I always like to brush a little on the top of my nose and around the corners of my eyes.
I love wearing makeup. I love that makeup can transform me, and I love that it gives me confidence and makes me feel good about my day.
I've been working out at Body by Simone (open in new tab) for about 6 years now and go to her West Hollywood store. Since my quarantine, I have been using her app in my garage.
I have a very busy family life myself, so those moments when I can be by myself are really nice...at the end of the day, after my son goes to bed, I'll lock myself in the bathroom for an hour or two, take a bath, call a friend, read a book, listen to a podcast, and just be alone. It's called pottering. It's called pottering. Jason says, "What are you doing?" Jason says, "What are you doing? I say, "Pottering." I organize my drawers, I redecorate my closet, whatever.
I invest in facials regularly. I've been plagued with acne, breakouts, and congested skin my entire adult life. I have been going to Biba De Souza (opens in new tab) in Los Angeles for over a year. She is a specialist in acne and congested skin. She has really taught me a lot about non-comedogenic, non-pore-clogging ingredients and removing pore-clogging products from my routine.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O makeup remover (opens in new tab). I always buy this product again and again.
Collaboration is really important. I truly believe that who you surround yourself with is a reflection of who you are. Surround yourself with the best team possible and collaborate with them.
I shower every night. I like to go to bed feeling clean and relaxed. Before I had kids, I used to wash and blow-dry my hair every night. But now I do it twice or three times a week. For me, I want my hair to last a few days so I don't have to wash it. On days when my hair is really bad, I wear a hat so no one can see me. I often double-cleanse at night because I'm after makeup.
I use the Environ dermaroller, then the New Face Tool, then the Zo Skin Health salicylic acid pads. It works incredibly well for breakouts. Then I use iS Clinicals Active Serum or Retinol, I love Retin-8, it's a retinol, and it's a great moisturizer. Then I moisturize with Biba Creme Barrier moisturizer. Then iS Clinical eye cream. I just started using the eye cream, I'm 33 now and I figured it was time to get my presbyopia under control.
I usually go to bed at 11:30 or 12:00, but my optimal bedtime is 10:30. What I do before bed is say goodnight to him, kiss him, and cuddle. We always hold hands when we go to bed. We've always done that.
