Twitter reaction to Joe Biden's selection of Kamala Harris as his running mate
This Tuesday, a big, big deal happens. Joe Biden announced that he has chosen Kamala Harris as his running mate for the 2020 election (opens in new tab).(opens in new tab) "Good News for 2020" A groundbreaking concept! (opens in new tab) Harris is the first black and first Indian to be chosen as a running mate for a major party candidate. In a tweet, the presumptive Democratic nominee said, "I am very honored to announce that I have chosen @KamalaHarris (opens in new tab) as my running mate. When Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Bo... When Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Bo to stand up to the big banks, help working people, and protect women and children from abuse. I was proud then, and I am proud to have her as my partner in this campaign now"
