Kimberly Guilfoyle reacts strongly to wild speech at RNC
The Republican National Convention kicked off Monday night with speeches by Nikki Haley (opens in new tab), Donald Trump Jr. and former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, among others. After watching a pre-recorded speech by Guilfoyle, Trump Jr.'s girlfriend and ex-wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom, some Tea Party leftists panicked.
Guilfoyle spoke about, among other things, the "radical" agenda of the Democratic Party and her family history as a first-generation American. She also talked about her mother's life as a teacher in Puerto Rico (open in new tab) and her Irish-born father: ...... But last I checked, Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, which means its residents are U.S. citizens, right?
Guilfoyle even took a jab at her ex-husband, citing California as "the future of the socialist Biden/Harris country." It is a place of immense wealth, immense innovation, and an immaculate environment, yet the Democrats have turned it into a land of heroin needles dumped in parks, riots in the streets, and power outages in homes. In Trump's America, we lighten things up, not darken them. We build things up, we don't burn them down." We will kneel and pray and stand up for the flag. This election is a battle for the soul of America."
It hasn't been this wild since the last season of The Bachelor. Yeah, so like I said, people on Twitter had a lot of thoughts ...
Celebrities also paid tribute to the madness:
This is a friendly reminder to make sure you're registered to vote (opens in new tab) for the November 3 election!
