Meghan Markle in conversation with Gloria Steinem wearing striped pants by Anine Bing
Meghan Markle is no longer making the rounds as an active royal alongside the Cambridges, but that doesn't mean she's sitting still in California. The star has been quietly (opens in new tab) working behind the scenes on a number of projects (opens in new tab) (just last week, she and Prince Harry volunteered with Baby2Baby (opens in new tab)), one of which is about the importance of voting. In a teaser video for Instagram, Meghan was filmed interacting with Gloria Steinem about representation and about how "all women are connected, not ranked."
For the casual backyard chat, Meghan wore a plain white T-shirt, striped bottoms by Anine Bing, strappy sandals by Stella McCartney, (opens in new tab), and at one point a wide-brimmed hat by Janessa Leone (opens in new tab (opens in new tab). Steinem, on the other hand, is all black and classic. Since her return to the West Coast, Meghan has also embraced the laid-back California vibe in her wardrobe (no more Queen E policing her wardrobe choices (opens in new tab))! Instead of fitted dresses and pants with royal approval. In a way, her style has become more approachable and her easy separates work for everyone (e.g., striped pants). If you can't find your size on Anine Bing's site, you can also purchase Meghan's pants here (opens in new tab), here (opens in new tab), and here (opens in new tab).
A teaser clip of the conversation can be found below; the full Q&A will be available later today.
And if you want more striped pant options, buy a pair of these similar to Meghan's.
