Donald's daughter-in-law Lara Trump is a secret campaign weapon.

It's no secret that presidential elections are a family affair. In a way, it is the ultimate test of teamwork. Look at the Kennedys (opens in new tab)! The Clintons (opens in new tab)! The Bushes (opens in new tab)! And just because they won the campaign doesn't mean the teamwork stops. So, like many families before them, many in the Trump family (opens in new tab) have a role in helping Trump continue his winning streak in the presidential race. One of them is daughter-in-law Lara Trump (formerly Lara Yunaska), 37, who is married to Eric Trump, has two children, and is Trump's secret weapon. Here's what you need to know about her.

Lara grew up in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. After graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in communications, she earned a pastry degree from the French Culinary Institute in New York City. Prior to working on the Trump campaign, she worked as a personal trainer (open in new tab). She also served on the board of her husband's charitable foundation, the Eric Trump Foundation (opens in new tab), which no longer exists due to multiple reports of misuse of funds (opens in new tab).

Most famously, Lara was an associate producer of CBS' "Inside Edition" for five years (opens in new tab). She left the show during the last two months of the 2016 presidential campaign (opens in new tab) to help her family with the election.

"It's a little challenging when you're reporting about your family on the show you work for," she told Port City Daily (opens in new tab) about the lifestyle change."

"We've been able to keep everything pretty level-headed during this whole period, but it's certainly nice not to have to worry about it from day to day.

Lara is currently a senior advisor to Trump's 2020 re-election campaign and regularly appears on Fox News to talk about it. She has also returned to her television days by hosting Trump's weekly news webcast, Real News Update (opens in new tab), and has attended numerous "Women for Trump" events around the country.

Donald's father-in-law has taken note of her public speaking talents, especially on the air; in an interview with USA Today (opens in new tab), Lara recounted an episode when he took notice: "My father-in-law did not know I was a fighter before, but several times I think he saw me on TV a few times. And I remember him calling me and saying, 'Wow, I didn't know you could do that.'"

After six years of dating, the two were married in November 2014 at Donald's Mar-a-Lago mansion (opens in new tab) in Palm Beach, Florida. More than 400 guests attended, including Donald Trump Jr. as best man and Ivanka Trump as bridesmaid. Ivanka's husband, Jared Kushner, also officiated the wedding, jokingly telling Lara (open in new tab), "I'm not sure I've ever seen a wedding like this before.

Lara wore two different gowns for the memorable occasion and adorned them with jewelry from Ivanka's line.

They gave birth to their first son, Eric "Luke" Trump, in September 2017; their baby girl, Carolina, was born in August 2019." Family of four!" Lara wrote on Instagram.

From her Instagram, it is clear that Lara adores her furry friends; in an interview with POLITICO (opens in new tab), she "has worked with numerous animal rescue centers and other great organizations to make the lives of animals better."

She stated.

She also revealed that she is working to get the next White House dog adopted. Lara Trump added, "We are working as hard as we can to get a rescue dog into the White House." It would be a dream come true."
