Retrouve leaves no stone unturned when it comes to using incredible ingredients. Everything from the style of the pump, to the texture, to the scent (or lack thereof), is crafted in a way that makes every drop count towards your skin and body goals. All of the company's products contain high concentrations of effective active ingredients, innovative delivery systems that allow the skin and body to truly absorb those ingredients, and no synthetic fragrances.
Ultimate Balm Body Oil is designed to do just that. Enriched with antioxidant vitamins, squalene, and avocado oil, this product doesn't just sit on the skin, it soaks in and provides long-lasting hydration. Those who suffer from severely dry, scaly skin (as I do) can use this product on damp skin for long-lasting, glowing hydration.
I have to admit, I am a really demanding customer when it comes to body products. They are very, very hard to please. Here's my problem: my legs remind me of crusty, dehydrated lizards if left alone. My collection of body creams is quite extensive, but it falls short in one of two ways. Either the cream sinks into my skin so quickly that my legs feel dry by the end of the day, or it's too moisturizing and makes it pretty much impossible to wear tight-fitting jeans. The body oil was similarly disappointing. Sure it moisturizes, but you basically have to wear pants all day, leave grease stains on all the furniture, and look down to see cat hair on your legs. Not cute.
So when I tried the Retrouve Balm Body Oil, I was professionally skeptical. After showering, while my legs were still somewhat damp, I pumped this product into my palms. Here's another one of my quirks: I don't like the texture of oil. I hate oil textures. Imagine my delight when I saw that the body oil was in fact a jelly-like serum texture, though I was prepared to exert myself in the pursuit of soft legs. When applied, it left my legs shiny and hydrated, not greasy like oil. After a few minutes of blending, it became easier to put on pants, and my legs were still faintly shiny and moist to the touch that night. And the scales? Gone. No "uncomfortable itching". No cat hairs sticking strangely to me, no oil marks on the couch, and really no disadvantages at all. I have finally found a cure for my body.
