Unsolved Mysteries, Season 1, Volume 2: Everything We Know
Finally, Netflix has announced the addition of six "Unsolved Mysteries" episodes. (Open in new tab) Mark your calendars for October 19! (We think it's the perfect way to celebrate Halloween!) Because Netflix has finally announced that the second volume of the first season will be available. (Opens in a new tab.) In case you missed it, the first episode, with its serious tone, compelling personal interviews, rich and bizarre mysteries (I'll never forget that UFO episode (opens in a new tab)), and in some cases, urgent requests for information The FBI is currently investigating the tragic death of Alonzo Brooks as a hate crime (opens in new tab), which has caught the attention of viewers. So what do we know so far about these new episodes?
On October 19, all six new episodes will be released in an official Volume 2. Fans have been asking for more episodes basically from the moment the first volume was released, but producer Shawn Levy explained that the process can be lengthy due to the serious (and often devastating) subject matter.
"We at 21 Laps, along with our partners at Cosgrove/Meurer Productions, decided early on to dig deeper into the storytelling and build a more intimate connection with our audience," Levy told IndieWire (opens in new tab) Levy told IndieWire (opens in new tab). 'To do that, we need time. The people we are interviewing on screen are often re-experiencing deeply painful, often traumatic experiences, and it's not easy to talk about them. Each of these new episodes will focus on a single case and will be produced, directed, filmed, music and edited at a high level. I think audiences will be extremely satisfied."
One of the reasons the new season has been so well received is the quality of its production and in-depth analysis, which has not only brought out people's amateur detective skills, but also some clues that Unsolved Mysteries has deemed "reliable" (opens in new tab).
That's right! A few weeks before the next six episodes aired, Netflix released a trailer.
"Why is it important to find out why people died 25 years ago? People die all the time." I think it is important for the family to know what happened to her."
The clip foreshadows what incidents the next six episodes will focus on. From the footage, it appears that they will include the ghost of the tsunami, a stolen child, a woman in a lake, the Washington Insider murders, a death in Oslo, and an escaped death row inmate. From the eeriness of this trailer, October 19 can't come soon enough.
Not much. However, we do know that, like the previous six episodes, this new episode (open in new tab) will feature "unexplained disappearances, tragic events, and strange happenings."
Creator Terry Dan Mueller (also the original creator) gave the New York Post (opens in new tab) a hint as to what stories we might see. 'Netflix is the perfect place. We can produce international stories, we can reach out to viewers around the world and try to solve mysteries in different countries,"
she added.
She added, "In the second six episodes that will premiere later this year, we have two episodes that were filmed internationally. Right now we are following a case in Brazil."
Memorably, the "House of Horrors (open in new tab)" Dupont de Ligones murder case was featured in one of the first six episodes and generated particular interest at the time, as some American viewers had little idea what happened. So it is likely that something similar will happen in this new film.
